Hello again...

Cherry blossoms at the Summer Palace in Beijing...

I´ve changed my VPN (this blog site is blocked from China, for some strange reason, and I have to use Virtual Private Network to publish from here...), so I hope I'm gonna be able to post again, after a long time unable to do that...fingers crossed... ;o)
From today I'll start with OOTD posts, 3-4 times a week, sometimes with self taken pics, sometimes pictures taken by guest photographers, -  and the blog is gonna be bilingual (english and hungarian) on requests...
Thanks for following!
xoxo/Eva

Mostantól a blogg, kívánságra magyarul is...
(Hosszú kényszerszünet és VPN csere után, - mivel ez a web oldal Kínában valamilyen "furcsa" okból kifolyólag zárlat alatt van, -  remélhetöleg újra müködni fog. Szorítsatok!)

Köszönöm a követést! :o)

Dots'n stripes...part 1.

There are days when we can barely leave the house (because of the smog), but when the air is breathable, those days can be just magical in this city ...clean air and sunshine got a whole new meaning here. So many things we take for granted in Sweden, (or in Europe in general) and natural for us, - feels like utopia in China.

************

But let's focus on the good things... :o)

Like dots...

and stripes...

A never ending love story for me.
I'm not really a "pattern kinda gal", - most of my clothes are plain, without pattern. But stripes I can never get enough of, and polka dots are almost an obsession I have.

Here comes a few of my favorite inspirations for this season,

like these shoes...

          ...or these evening gowns...

...and these bags ( - Michael Kors, - of course...) ;o))

                                                              some cute dresses...

...and some details...

***************

More outfit pics with dots and stripes in my next post, from my own wardrobe,
- coming soon...
Until then: - don't forget to smile and the world smiles back at you... :o))

Spring, tulle, sunshine...

Spring is undoubtedly is on it's way to Beijing.

I'm packing down winter stuff and checking my closet, - what still fits and what I may need to complete my wardrobe with.

I usually find some stuff I don't even remember I had...and it can make me as happy as a child on Christmas Eve. I just found a skirt I forgot I bought in Stockholm last august...

I love tulle...
...a lot...

Tulle is one of the most feminine and luxurious fabrics ever made. I always feel a little bit like a princess wearing it. Unfortunately I don't have many opportunities to wear evening gowns, so I use my tulle skirts in my everyday life.

Tulle is perfect to mix with leather, knitwear and jeans for example...

So, put on those girlie skirts instead of boring winter pants, some cool sunglasses and let's enjoy the sunshine... :o))

Lets go...

Spring in Beijing

This blog is about my everyday life in this fantastic city, my passion for fashion and a mirror of my point of view about how Life should be...

It's gonna be mainly a photo blog, I let pictures tell about my way to see my surroundings, my personal style (both my clothes and my way to live life), my desires and hopefully: my positivity...

I'm interested in beauty and esthetics, - in every possible way.

I believe life is too short not to surround yourself only with beautiful things (even if I know that The Most Beautiful Things in Life Not Things...), and that you can create your own everyday luxury. Most of the time it's not about money, in fact more often it's about NOT to buy a lot of cheap, ugly stuff and to be able to resist the "urge" to have more and more...
(I've learned for example that I don't need 10 pairs of sunglasses, it's enough with one, but that one have to be right ONE...)

Morning coffee at Starbucks in Beijing

But...

...the main reason I'm starting this blog is to manifest that a "girl", after a certain age still has the right to "play", and enjoy fashion.
The fashion industry seems to create an image that all women should be between the age of 13-20, and have size 0, - society wants us to be dull and grey after 35-40...

Well, I don't agree.

I refuse to hide myself in the "grey-zone", and planning to enjoy my femininity and claim my right to have fun until the day I die...
Maybe I'm not in my twenties anymore and I have my "scratch marks" on my face and my body, but hey...I'm a Tiger, - I earned my stripes. And I can still roar...

Welcome to follow on my journey... :o))
